Things that I love...

" I see trees of green, red roses too,
I see them bloom, for me and you.
And I think to myself...
what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue, and clouds of white,
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night.
And I think to myself... what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky,
Also the faces of people going by.
I see friends shaking hands, say how do you do?
They're really saying, I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know.
And I think to myself... what a wonderful world.
Yes I think to myself... what a wonderful world."

Bob Thiele and George David Weiss - Louis Armstrong

Aren't they right?...

A marvellous weekend to you all!

Dear Rosa - WONDERFUL PICTURES! And What a wonderful world" is one of my favourite songs!!! (I also think that we live in a wonderful world. It is not perfect, there happen lots of sad and cruel things - but there also are so much wonderful and beautiful and loveable persons and things in the world!!! And you show us some of them - THANK YOU!!!)
Do you know the "other" version, of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole *) (it is a medley of "What a wonderful world" and "Somewhere over the rainbow")? It was for instance the soundtrack of the movie Finding Forrester with Sean Connery.
*) He was an young Hawaiian man, who died in 1997 because he was much too fat. He doesn't look very handsome, but I like his voice very much. In Hawaii they adore him like a saint.

Hello, dear Rosa, I just havwe seen that you wrote a comment to my former post: If I followed feng-shui theory when I designed the garden: No, I only used my feelings. When we bought the garden and the house, there were only gras and some bushes and the apple- and peach-tree I showed in another post. It didn't look very interesting - but for me it was like an empty canvas which is waiting to be painted. I wandered around the garden, and a "picture" grew in my head. I drew it at a sheet of paper - and then we started to realize it bit by bit... (And every year there are grewing new ideas in my brain - I think my head is some kind of garden, too - and my poor husband alway has to dig and to build with me...! ;-))
Wonderful weekend!
